Artist Statement for the Project

“Unseen” is a new body of work that had developed from an ongoing project. The project captures the doors of the garages that can be found in the laneways behind the suburban housing estates of Dublin.
I have applied an abstract approach, photographing each door from the same perspective. It captures the effect of the exposure to the elements and time. Showing aesthetic beauty and detail in the everyday mundane.
