My interest in photography started from a very young age after I helped my Dad fix up an old Box Brownie camera when I was about 12 years old. I loaded the first roll of film into the camera to capture some photographs not knowing exactly what I was doing other than pressing the trigger to take the photographs.
I had no idea at that time just how much photography would become a part of my life. My early years were spent using various borrowed film cameras until I started my first job which lead to me purchasing my first good quality camera after my first month working. Over the years I have tried many different aspects of photography.
I have been a keen amateur photographer all my life and involved in the Tallaght Photographic Society in recent years. I take photographs as a snapshot of my life, the places I have visited and the people I have met along the way. I capture images hoping that in time, even my simple photographs may hold some historical value long after I have departed.
I photograph many different genres including landscapes, cityscapes, abstract, street photography and travel photography. I shoot in Black and White mainly with some colour shots when required.
